In the frame of Watches and Wonders 2022, TAG Heuer has just unveiled their second special edition chronograph to emerge from the partnership between TAG Heuer and Porsche. This partnership between the two brands was announced in 2021 and was somehow the result of an entwined history marked by an obsession with speed and motorsports. First and foremost, the brands have in common the Carrera name that is incarnated by Jack Heuer’s 1963 chronograph and some of the carmaker’s most powerful creations. In particular, both Jack Heuer and Ferry Porsche were fascinated by La Carrera Panamericana, a perilous endurance race staged in Mexico that ended up inspiring the name of Jack Heuer’s chronograph and the top-performing sports cars produced by Porsche.
