Hodgson was eventually booked and later released while awaiting court hearings. But while out on bail, he died inside a home in Riverside. The Riverside County Coroner has not yet issued an official cause of death.
However, tonight, the Long Beach Post—the first outlet to publish this video—reports that his attorney told the court Hodgson died of a drug overdose.

Hodgson’s family is expected to appear in court in the coming months. The case remains open.
