SPLM-IO senior official Mai warns that the fate of the 2018 Revitalized Peace Agreement now rests with President Salva Kiir and his allies. He calls the government’s accusations against Machar politically motivated and demands his immediate release. SPLM-IO’s Reath Muoch Tang also speaks out against unauthorized meetings with President Museveni and hints at attempts to replace Machar from within.


2. SHOOTING AT GIADA MILITARY BARRACKS
A soldier fatally shot his colleague following a dispute at the Giada Barracks in Juba. The incident triggered a crossfire, injuring three more soldiers. The suspect is now in custody and will face military trial.
