Synopsis:
The Paper focuses on our understanding of the Rule of Law, as well as on the role of Different actors, such as offices of the Public Protector and National Prosecuting Authority, in enforcing, implementing, protecting and advancing the Rule of Law.
The paper concludes with a consideration of how imperative it is, at this crucial rebuilding phase in our nation's history, for each of us to understand with reference to the great price that was paid to achieve our constitutional democracy, that every effort should be made toward ensuring institutional integrity and cohesion and to appreciate that without the promotion and protection of the Rule of Law our future is imperilled .
