Kimberly Wright Cassidy '85 addressed the class of 2025 after receiving an honorary doctor of humane letters from Swarthmore College on May 25, 2025, at the Mann Center for the Performing Arts in Philadelphia's Fairmount Park.
She is a lifelong educator who served as Bryn Mawr College’s ninth president. Cassidy dedicated her career to changing generations of lives through the transformational power of the liberal arts.

Swarthmore College is a private, liberal arts with engineering college located 11 miles outside of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, on an idyllic arboretum. Swarthmore has an enrollment of 1,700 students and a student to faculty ratio of 8:1. Students can pursue degrees in more than 40 courses of study with the flexibility of creating their own majors and taking classes at the University of Pennsylvania, Bryn Mawr College, and Haverford College.
