The full length video of our trip to the Stina Burn balloted hunting block in fiordland, New Zealand. Chasing Wapiti bulls in 2015. We timed it perfectly for the roar and got in close to about 20 bugling / roaring bulls. Very few pure red type deer were seen.
Most of the animals were Wapiti crossed with Red deer, although a few very pure Waps were encountered.
We were highly focused on finding a large Wapiti bull or Red stag, so no shots were fired by our two man party on this trip. We hunted on the Blight Sound faces south of Bare Cone, right through to the Northern faces near Flat Point.
