The Fundamental Shift to Value-Based Care

The Learning and Diffusion Group at the Center for Medicare & Medicaid Innovation (CMMI) is launching a three-part video series to educate clinicians about how to successfully participate in value-based healthcare. This series is a part of the global strategy for ensuring wide-spread adoption of alternative payment models. Each video uses a patient and clinician story to highlight key concepts in the video and showcases some of the more prominent payment models tested by CMMI.

The first video in the series provides an overview of value-based payment reform as compared to traditional fee-for-service. This video showcases former Chief Medical Officer, Hyong (Ken) Kim, MD, from CMMI as he sits down with Rushika Fernandopulle, MD, a value-based care thought leader and CEO of Iora Health.
