The most Korean alley, Bukchon Hanok Village

Bukchon Hanok Village is a traditional Korean village located in the heart of Seoul, South Korea. It is famous for its well-preserved hanok (traditional Korean houses) and offers a glimpse into the architecture and lifestyle of Korea's past. The village is situated between Gyeongbokgung Palace, Changdeokgung Palace, and the modern district of Insadong, blending the old and the new.
The village dates back to the Joseon Dynasty, and it has maintained its charm with narrow alleyways, tiled roofs, and wooden houses. Many of the houses are still inhabited, while others have been transformed into museums, galleries, tea houses, and guesthouses. Visitors can stroll through the village, appreciating the historic atmosphere while enjoying scenic views of the surrounding city.
Bukchon Hanok Village is a popular destination for both locals and tourists who want to experience a traditional Korean environment while being close to the vibrant modern city life of Seoul.
