On a very cold morning, much of Fife, The Firth of Forth and the Lothians are covered in a low-lying bank of cloud, caused by a temperature inversion. Although dull and grey at ground level, from 100 metres above the ground, the sky is brilliant blue, sun is shining and the views across a sea of clouds are spectacular. This video shows views from above Glenrothes, Falkland Hill (East Lomond) and from near the village of Star. Watch out for the Brocken Spectres at 4:18 and 4:52!
