Review Victoria’s Secret Wild Muse Body Mists Cherry Desire Decadent Plum SultryPetals Vanilla Rebel

Here are my thoughts on this new collection from Victoria’s Secret.

Victoria’s Secret Cherry Desire Sexy Confidence is a sweet cherry nectar juice with a dash of liqueur. At the first spray, I get a splash of dry vodka before it reveals a very fruity cherry. Cherry is my least favorite fragrance note because to me, there is usually an underlying bitterness-syrupy combo that is very medicinal to me. I kept spraying my arm trying to detect this medicinal bitterness, but I don’t get it at all. Instead, I get a sweet and fruity cherry. This cherry is not syrupy, it’s not deep because there is an underlying juicy pulpiness that keeps it refreshing and light. Sometimes brown sugar can add a burnt sharpness to fragrance, but I don’t get this here at all. As Cherry Desire dries down, it stays the same – I can’t really detect the amber and woods. I rate this fruity fragrance a 7/10.

I no longer have the body mist, but Bath & Body Works Cherry Merlot is a stronger, less juicy cherry that’s more medicinal.

Bath & Body Works Oh, Cherry is leans floral cherry. Cherry Desire isn’t floral at all.

Bath & Body Works Sweetheart Cherry is more of a gourmand pistachio with cherry.

The cherry in Victoria’s Secret PINK Rocket Pop is blended with a tart lemon and raspberry that makes it way more sour. Completely different.

Victoria’s Secret Decadent Plum Fearless Indulgence is a unique blend of tart plum and powdery sandalwood. At the first spray, I get a very fresh plum with a light dose of red berries. Plum tends to be a very deep and syrupy note, but here, it’s not as bold or sweet. There’s definitely some sweetness, but because the red berries have that sourness, it never gets super sweet. As it dries, it leans into a pomegranate which adds a little bit of depth and sexiness. Pomegranate is one of my favorite notes because it’s fruity, yet still mature and perfumey. The only florals I can detect debut in the drydown, when the plum and pomegranate is contrasted with a powdery sandalwood which smells very violet to me. Decadent Plum is a fairly complex, yet approachable fragrance that I adore. I give this fruity floral an 8.5/10.

Bath & Body Works Be Enchanted isn’t similar, but it’s a fruitier and more youthful pomegranate. If you like one, I think you’ll like the other.

Victoria’s Secret Mirrored Pom has a similar, deep pomegranate, even though they don’t smell similar. If you like one, I think you’ll like the other.

Victoria’s Secret Sultry Petals Intoxicating Elegance is a sweet berry and magnolia blend.
At the first spray, I get a very sweet, fruity berry that reminds me of the Fenty perfume. It’s listed as blackberries, which I can detect, but there’s also a bit of blueberries. Even though this is a very sexy and mature scent, there is a fun and youthfulness to the berries. To me, these berries smell very “blue” – think of a blueberry-flavored candy that it not at all tart or sour, but still smells berries. To me, magnolia is a very sweet but creamy floral with a little bit of a kick, kinda like a spiciness. This magnolia accompanies Sultry Petals, with a little bit of jasmine that adds some white florals. The strong berries and creamy magnolia really tones down the jasmine, so you’re not getting any sharpness. This dries down sweet with a light tonka, but I can’t detect the cashmere woods. I give this warm floral an 8.5/10

Boulangerie Paris Crème Bluets shares similar notes but is less floral and more fruity.

Bath & Body Works Dark Kiss is stronger and more musky with a very bold rose. The berry is less prominent.

Sol de Janeiro Cheirosa 76 has similar notes, but there is an underlying patchouli that makes it much bolder.

Bath & Body Works Luminous is another patchouli bomb, but the iris gives it more of a powdery, earthy floral vibe.

Sol de Janeiro is Cheirosa 59 is very similar, but has less vanilla and more of the powdery violet.

Victoria’s Secret Vanilla Orchid Sandalwood leans more sandalwood than vanilla without any of the powdery violet.

Victoria’s Secret Bare Vanilla Bliss has more of an earthy green violet with vanilla and none of the sandalwood.

Victoria’s Secret Bare Vanilla Daydream has a sweeter more fluffier vanilla and is an overall lighter fragrance.

Bath & Body Works Vanilla Romance has no sandalwood, but there is a spicy cardamom that definitely qualifies this for the woody vanilla category.

Saltair Salt Water Vanilla is more of a vanilla extract scent where the sandalwood is blended with salt, so it leans more beachy. I will be doing a Saltair brand review eventually, so stay tuned!
