The last day of the British Empire & Commonwealth Games was one of the most exciting sporting days is Canadian history - captured live on CBUT (CBC Vancouver) television at Empire Stadium in Vancouver. Racing in the men's mile final were Dr. Roger Bannister and John Landy. Both runners had recorded sub-4 minute mile earlier in the year. This was the first time both runners would meet for a sub-4 minute mile showdown. The race is shown in its entirety.
