How Far Can a Sports Car Go Off-Road? | Autotrader

Wheelie Bad Ideas returns with our biggest experiment yet.
After testing train wheels and tiny wheels, we went in the opposite direction and fitted 44-inch off-road tyres to a BMW Z4. The question was simple: can a sports car on giant wheels actually work off road?

To find out, we took the Z4 into the mud and tested it against the Defender OCTA, widely regarded as one of the best off-road vehicles in the world. This video explores whether wheel size alone can transform a sports car into a genuine off-roader, or whether this was always going to end badly.
