DIY 3 Way Switch Zooz Zen21, Zen22, Zen23 & Zen 24 Z-wave Smart Switch Installation

Today we’re going to install the Zooz Z-Wave plus in-wall smart switch wired in a three-way configuration. This switch wires in differently than the GE and Leviton Z-Wave Plus smart switches.

WARNING! These instructions are only for the following Zooz models:
Zen21, Zen22, Zen23, Zen24

One of the most common questions I get on this topic is, “can I use a regular three-way switch in place of the recommended add-on switch.” When it comes to Z-wave switches, until recently, the answer was no. In this video, we’re going to install the Zooz Z-wave plus in-wall smart switch in a three-way configuration.

I’ll be showing the results of my experiments where I wire the Zooz like a GE and a GE like a Zooz later in the video.
