The NIDDK-CR Data Science and Meet the Expert Webinar Series aims to accelerate data science and AI-driven biomedical research by fostering collaboration between biomedical researchers and experts in the field. The February session titled “Data Science Fundamentals” featured presentations by experts in data science at the Naval Information Warfare Systems Command (NAVWAR) 4.0 Data Science Learning Program. This session covered the end-to-end data science process and techniques within each step, from problem statement, data acquisition, exploratory data analysis, data preparation, modeling, data visualization, and taking action. This session also covered supervised, unsupervised, deep learning techniques, as well as specialized data science topics, including computer vision, natural language processing, and time series analysis.
