Tales of the Abyss Guy Solo: Tyrannopion [Unknown/No Damage/No Items]

So we've reached the second monster boss that is an actual pain to deal with. I don't have the numbers to prove it but I'm pretty sure this is the boss that took me the second most amount of retakes in this run. But how much of that is his actual difficulty and how much of that was me being a big dummy?

I think 8 is fair for this dude. There is one thing you need to get down really well in order to do well and that is pivot. Jumping over him can work for some attacks but it's too risky usually and pivoting is safer.

Phase 1 is where he has the bulk of his attacks. A jump, shooting fireballs, swinging then slamming his tail, and summoning rocks around him. The jump is pretty easy, the fireballs don't go too far so you usually will have enough distance, the swing is massive and will end the run if you did not create enough distance, and the rocks are basically rng on where and when they land around him. The first phase, your best bet is to try to keep as much space as possible.

Phase 2 is where that becomes more difficult. He loses his armor and gains 2 more attacks. A super fast, up close tail spin, and Rushing Gallery, which causes him to close the gap between you and him and you are already close to a wall and he uses it, that's donzo. Phase 2 you both have to be more and less aggressive because you need more space but you also don't want to get nicked by the tail spin. He also just has every move from the last phase so it's a lot to deal with.

This dude was my enemy when getting a take but I'm happy with how this turned out.
