With the closing of AiMIU on September 30, 2023, I wanted to post this Virtual Tour produced in 2021 as a tribute to my former campus. This 2021 Telly Award Winner gives viewers a virtual tour of the former MIU campus, faculty, labs/facilities, and the collaborative student culture at MIU. Previously located in downtown Miami near the Performing Arts Center and a block from Biscayne Bay, MIU was an integral part of building and transforming the Miami design and arts communities for more than 50 years. Miami International University of Art & Design was one of The Art Institutes that was closed permanently in 2023. A system of non-profit schools in the United States that extended back to 1921 and provided an important source for fashion, design, media arts, and culinary professionals.
