We were very privileged to be given complimentary tickets by the director of The Railway Man, Jonathan Teplitzky, who remembered us from the Zurich Film Festival. I would like to thank him and Lionsgate for giving me the most wonderful evening of the whole year! We were also invited to the After Party, in aid of the Royal Signals, which Eric Lomax had joined at the age of 19 before the Second World War. It was such a happy event, and we could see how much the film meant to Colin Firth, especially when he took such gentle care of the inspirational Patti Lomax.
I would like to thank all my friends, but especially those who shared their photos: Barbie, Juliane and Viv. I am very grateful! Oh, and I am so pleased I found this song - I was actually on the last train out of London! :)
