Dawes Glacier / Glacier Explorer Port Adventure / Day 3 / Alaskan Disney Cruise / September 2022

Welcome to Day 3 of our Alaskan Disney Cruise! Join my family and I on our 7-Night Alaskan Cruise from Vancouver on the Disney Wonder! Thank you so much for watching!

You join us on Wednesday, September 14, 2022, for a day at Dawes Glacier (and Sawyer Glacier)! We woke up in the Alaskan Inside Passage and devoured a delicious breakfast at Triton's. After meeting Moana on Deck 4, we strolled along the Promenade deck and took in all the emerging Alaskan scenery.

After realizing the characters were all meeting upstairs on Deck 10 in their Alaskan finest, Liz and I jumped in line to meet Donald Duck!

✨PRO TIP: Check the Disney Cruise Line app early in your sailing to see when the characters are meeting on Deck 10 on Dawes Glacier day. Plan to get in line for the characters you want to meet as early as possible! These lines are always long! Also, you may not get to meet every character you want because of the long wait times and the characters' break times. So, prioritize!

This is the only day the characters will be meeting people in their Alaskan outfits on Deck 10 with the amazing Alaskan views as the backdrop. The characters will be in their Alaskan outfits on the three other port days in Alaska, but they will have, somewhat boring, backgrounds for pictures. Dawes Glacier day is THE DAY to get those gorgeous photos with the characters in their Alaskan outfits! ✨

Liz and I spent the morning and early afternoon hours on Deck 10 gawking at the beautiful scenery and meeting Donald Duck, Daisy Duck, and Pluto. While waiting, we listed to the Alaskan naturalist over the speakers share a lot of interesting facts about everything we were seeing. Then, we scarfed down some lunch at Cabanas.

We began to see some ice floating in the water and realized the Disney Wonder parked right in front of Dawes Glacier. At the front of the ship, there were hundreds of seals chilling on the glacial ice. At 3 o'clock, we checked in for our Glacier Explorer Port Adventure at the Walt Disney Theatre.

We stepped aboard one of two double-decker excursion boats and cruised closer to Dawes Glacier. After taking in the glacial grandeur, we zipped back out of Endicott Arm Fjord and through Tracy Arm Fjord. On our journey, we saw a mountain goat, waterfalls, and neon blue glacial ice floating in pristine blue-green waters while sipping some hot chocolate.

We made our way to the anchor of Tracy Arm Fjord, Sawyer Glacier. After more gawking at the beauty of nature and deep breaths of clean, delicious air, we made our way back to the Disney Wonder.

We relaxed in our cozy cabin and continued our watch of "A Goofy Movie." Amidst some light rain, we watched the "Freezing the Night Away with Anna, Elsa, and Friends" Deck Party up on Deck 10. Then, we descended to Deck 3 for a "Frozen" themed dinner at Tiana's Place. We checked Crown & Fin Pub for some late night fried food and did some 80's music trivia in Azure. We listened to some incredible performers at the dueling Piano Party and called it a night!
