Wah Ji Wah KAITHAL Food Tour I Saini Ka Samosa,Jaman Ka Dahi Bhalla, Bhure ke Laddu,40 Ki Dal Makhni

Kaithal is an ancient city in the state of Haryana. It has many famous historical and religious places. In today's episode we bring you the drooling details of a short veg food tour across the city. We were glad to be guided by our spirited and gracious hosts Shrikant Sharma who is a budding food blogger and a few of his friends. He presents his food experiences through his channel Bhukkad Sharma. Let's see what all things we tried.

The first stop was Saini Samosa Wale where a huge crowd had gathered just to buy their samosa. It was enough proof of how amazing their samosas are. After a long wait and some jostling at the counter, we got our order. The smell of the hot samosa left us drooling. From the very first bite we were convinced of its brilliance. We can easily vouch for the fact that it is one of the best samosa experiences. They also have a wide range of sweets and other snacks. We also tried some gujiya and aev boondi.

The second stop was Dua Misthan Bhandar in Sarafa Bazaar. They are the most famous sweet and snack shop in the city whose legacy dates back to somewhere around 1951. Here we first witnessed the making of the monsoon time treat, ghewar and bhura/shakkar ladoo at their workshop and then visited the shop to try them. The crumbly luscious ladoo was simple yet special because it is made from coarsely powdered ghee fried maida chunks. The ghewar too was crunchy, optimally sweet, rich and just perfect.

The third stop was Gulati sweets where we polished off a plate of their best selling dahi bhalle. It was a delicious one with some interesting additions like boondi and aalu raita. One scoop had myriad flavours and textures. While departing we also tried some rabri because Anubhav loves it and Kalakand.

The fourth stop was Brijwasi Chaat Bhandar where we stopped for some mouthwatering aalu tikki. They serve it with chole and chutney. The crisp tikki, spicy chole and zesty chutney resulted in a gratifying mouthfeel..

The last food stop of this tour was Shivam Food. The owner was a super genial fellow who shared the story of this place and then served us some of his limited yet much loved menu. This included naan, dal makhni, missi roti, peeli dal and shahi paneer. Of these, the missi roti, dal makhni and peeli dal were amazing. This place is one of those rare gems where you get great food at an unbelievably pocket friendly price.

We wrapped up the tour by paying our respect at Gurudwara Neem Sahib and then relishing a soulful home cooked meal at one of our host Amits place. Here for the first time we tasted the laal lassi.
