How to put on & take off chemical protective gloves properly (English)

Protective gloves only provide protection if they are used correctly. In this video you will learn how to put on and take off chemical protective gloves correctly and why you should pay attention to the permeation time.

How to wear chemical protective gloves correctly:

Preparation and donning
Take off jewelry and shorten your fingernails - both can damage protective gloves
Check your protective gloves for damage before wearing them
Wrap longer protective gloves around the cuff
Put on the gloves

Working with chemical protective gloves
Wrapped cuffs prevent the chemical from running into the protective gloves
After contact of the protective glove with the chemical, the chemical starts to break through the glove material (permeation) - therefore please observe the penetration time. (For further information, please refer to the uvex Chemical Expert System: https://ces.uvex.en/)

Take off protective glove and reuse
Remove the chemical protective gloves without touching the contaminated outer surface
The protective gloves can be reused within the specified penetration time - check them again beforehand for damage
Put the gloves on again without touching the contaminated outer surface
Pay attention to the permeation time and change the protective gloves before the end of the permeation time specified by the manufacturer

Disposal
In case of contact with chemicals, please observe the disposal instructions of the chemical manufacturer or the legal regulations
