Packing A Tricorn Column

Here we pack a column that is 5 mm wide, so tiny, to a height of 8 cm for chromatography purification. We use a Tricorn column from Cytiva with Hydrophobic Interaction Chromatography (HIC) resin (or media). We use Phenyl HP to pack this column. You can use this technique to pack just about any Tricorn column. You could use this technique to pack any flavor of column like IEX, affinity, desalting or SEC column as well.
