These Lowbrow Customs Rigid Struts for 1984-99 Harley-Davidson Softails are extremely easy to use and will help your chopper dreams become a reality in little to no time at all. In this video Tim Fiorucci walks you through how to install this Rigid Strut kit onto a 1993 rolling chassis. The motor and transmission were removed to give everyone better visuals on what you will need to change on your Softail chassis to make it a Rigid Bike.
In the kit you will find, two struts consisting of three piece construction, three Grade 8 bolts and washers for the struts, 2 rubber bumpers, 2 aluminum stops, 2 bolts to attach the rubber bumper to the aluminum, a ton of shims and 2 more bolts with washers to install the fully assembled bumpers to the frame.
With in a few short minutes you will have turned your stock generic softail into a fully rigid chopper just waiting to be customized. Lop off those gross bulky fender struts and get to customization. With the rear swing arm now rigid, you have a slue of options to when it comes to mounting a rear fender, sissy bar, and custom seat.
