To meet the growing demand for water, a new lake and reservoir are being constructed in Ladonia, Texas. Granite Construction is serving as the lead contractor for the project. The video highlights the main spillway of the new dam, where Davis Cranes mobilized a Liebherr LTM 1750 to set the road deck beams atop the structure.
The crane was configured with 450,000 pounds of counterweight and a 126-foot luffing jib to place 132-foot-long beams at a height of 180 feet. Each beam weighed approximately 116,000 pounds, requiring the use of a large-capacity crane to safely and precisely complete the lifts.
