Interesting to play the two separate bass parts together... needs delicate fingerwork, alternating fast between fingerstyle and popping. And hard to stay "in the pocket" with this fat '70's beat. In 1979, 5-strings were still a curiosity, so this was probably played on a Jazz Bass on the bridge pickup and tuned down to D. But I was too lazy to restring my flatwound jazz bass to roundwounds just for this song.
Oh how I love those simple old school times :).
