Earl Scruggs performed at the Grey Fox Bluegrass Festival in July 2004. For anyone who was there, you probably remember the "rain out." A storm blew in during his set, and the band went back-stage to wait it out. After a moment, the started jamming there, and they piped the sound through the stage speakers. They played "Beaumont Rag," and Earl took a stellar break! I didn't get my recorder going fast enough so all I got was part of the song after Earl's break. On my next visit with him, I asked him if he could play it again. What he did here was completely different than his Grey Fox version, but at least he took a crack at it, and I got it on video. (BTW, that's Hide Watanabe on the sofa with the guitar).
