The trio of players known as "The Big Three", consisting of Rafael Nadal, Novak Djokovic, and Roger Federer, have won numerous Grand Slam titles in the past 10 to 15 years and have dominated men's singles.

As a result, we have compiled a list of some of the most "unlucky" players of all time.
Jo-Wilfried Tsonga
French player Jo Wilfried Tsonga has had a notable career in tennis, achieving a career-high ranking of world no. 5 in 2012. One of his most notable wins was against Rafael Nadal in the 2008 Australian Open, where he won in straight sets and garnered significant attention. However, he ultimately lost to Novak Djokovic, who was ranked third at the time. #tennis
Another highlight of Tsonga's career was his performance in the 2011 ATP finals, where he gave an impressive performance but lost to the five-time defending champion Roger Federer. Despite his skill and significant achievements, Tsonga was never able to defeat the Big 3 and secure a Grand Slam Title. Nonetheless, Tsonga remains an accomplished player, although not widely known beyond fervent tennis followers.
Kevin Anderson
Kevin Anderson, a tennis player from South Africa, achieved a career-high ATP ranking of number 5. His closest attempt at a grand slam was at the 2017 US Open tournament, where he lost to Rafael Nadal. However, he experienced another setback in his career. He managed to reach the 2018 Wimbledon semi-finals by defeating John Isner in the second-longest match in Tennis History that lasted 6 hours and 36 minutes. Despite this, he couldn't outperform Novak Djokovic.
Kevin Anderson made history as the first South African to be ranked in the top 5 since Kevin Curren, who held the No. 5 spot on 23 September 1985. He further went on to win the exhibition World Tennis Championship in 2017 and the New York Open in February 2018.
David ferrer
David Ferrer was a clay-court specialist who turned professional in 2000. Over the course of his career, he won tournaments at every level of the ATP Tour except for a major title. Currently has the eighth highest career prize money earnings of all time among male tennis players Despite his financial success and impressive record, Ferrer is widely regarded as one of the best players never to have won a Grand Slam tournament. He came close to winning the French Open in 2013 but was ultimately defeated by Rafael Nadal.
Ferrer was part of the Spanish Davis Cup team that won the title three times, in 2008, 2009 and 2011. He won 13 of his 27 titles on clay and achieved a career-high ranking of 3 in 2013. Ferrer retired from professional tennis in 2019.
Juan Martin del Potro
Juan Martin del Potro's career has been plagued by injuries, which many believe have prevented him from reaching his full potential. Despite this, he is considered one of the most naturally gifted players of the 21st century and has achieved a lot in his career. His biggest achievement was winning the 2009 US Open, where he defeated Rafael Nadal in the semi-finals and Roger Federer in the final. He was the first player to ever beat both Nadal and Federer at the same major.

Del Potro has undergone four knee surgeries in hopes of returning to the court. Toni Nadal, a renowned coach and Rafael Nadal's uncle said about del Potro's misfortune, saying that he has had possibly the worst luck of any tennis player. He believes that del Potro had the talent to succeed and would have achieved enormous success, fighting face to face with the Big 3 and with Andy Murray.
Andy Roddick

Throughout much of this century, Andy Roddick was the number one ranked male player in the United States, despite the dominance of Pete Sampras and Andre Agassi in the 1990s. He won five Masters titles between 2002 and 2010, and helped lead the U.S. Davis Cup team to victory in 2007. A master of hard court and grass, Roddick was known for his incredible serve. Renowned for having the fastest serve in the game, enjoyed a lot of glory until he met a force that he just couldn’t overcome- Roger Federer.

Andy Murray
Murray is undoubtedly one of the best British athletes ever and was often referred to as being part of tennis’ 'Big Four’, alongside Roger Federer, Novak Djokovic and Rafael Nadal But still many consider him unlucky to have competed with arguably the three best male players to grace the game.
In total, he lost eight Grand Slam finals
