The Christian is called to pause and pray throughout the day . The Book of Common prayer, rooted in Anglican tradition and ancient monastic practice, offers services of prayer and praise for the various times of the day. These include Morning Prayer, an Order of Service for Noonday, Evening Prayer (called Evensong when sung) and prayer at the close of the day, Compline. All of these services can be spoken or sung. We offer this sung Compline as a quiet option of prayer to end your day.
