Miele at IFA 2024 (Innovation For All!)

Welcome to the sixth part of the IFA series this time with quite a long showcase of Mieles booth.

Back when we booked for IFA I just had that feeling inside me that Miele would release a whole range of new laundry appliances with the fact that it’s IFA’s 100th year of the show, Miele turning 125 years old and also because of the W1 models being on the market for 10 years now which is quite a shocker to think about even though the current ones have a different display to the first W1’s

The W2 and T2 Nova edition models were so cool for me to see in person! The new models are WQ1000WPS WQ1200WPS and the dryers model is TQ1000WPS

I find it really bizarre that the WQ1200WPS is the top end model of the lineup. Tbh I don’t really like it 🙈 it has an empty band in the drum and has a slower 1400rpm spin speed than the WQ1000WPS which is 1600rpm and €500 less. They’re both rated as 9kg but it seems like the WQ1200WPS has a bigger drum as the other one doesn’t have that empty band in the drum design.

I can’t lie though I’d love to try the WQ1000WPS if I can fork out 2 grand on a washing machine 🙈 I mean this is coming from a guy with a top end Asko set 😭 ah I’m so grateful 🥹

I saw photos of these that I’m about to talk about online but there wasn’t any of them new middle range ones on display at IFA which was weird. The middle end ones have the dial in the middle and display on the right along with the infinity care paddleless drum. They have to be making them ones though as I done a Miele challenge to fix a washing machine as fast as I can and won a playmobil miele engineer set that had a washing machine in it that was based on them new models. It’s possible they were on display in the business area maybe.
