24 - Dead of the Brain 2 - Cooger of the Brain II - Final Showdown with Bloody Fox w/

In this episode we finally head to Jill's hangout but it seems to just be abandoned, the last of Bloody Fox is here and we've gotta get a jump on them to find out what they know.

Dead of the Brain 2, developed by Fairytale and released in 1993 for the PC-98. Picking up right where the original left off, this visual novel adventure plunges us once again into it's grotesque world with undead chaos, and moral decay. This time were in the next town over and just got engaged to Sheila and it's time to celebrate.. too bad the creeping nightmares that we dealt with during "the incident" are back... or are they?

This sequel continues Fairytale’s blend of horror and sci-fi storytelling, featuring their signature mix of eerie atmosphere, gruesome visuals, and branching options that actually don't make much of a difference. While it refines some of the original’s systems (such as the action scenes), Dead of the Brain 2 does take away a bit from the adventure game side of things getting rid of nearly every verb and just having you click on obvious hot spots to progress. But it does keep the chilling sound design and art style. Plus it's a little less sexually explicit from what I've seen so far.... though fair warning the bloody fox gang is back and they are attempting to assault women almost every time we happen across them near the beginning. I suspect they'll get their comeuppance though.
