Framing is done on our off-grid office in the woods - it's time to add the roof. No OSB. This is an alternative to using OSB on your roof. Jon installs the roof deck with 1x6 sawmilled pine boards. He then adds felt paper roof underlayment, installs the air gap and finally installs the metal roof panels on a 9/12 pitch gable roof. Following the completion of the roof install, Jon struggles to hoist a long poplar tree out of the woods to bring down to the sawmill to begin milling the boards needed for the siding and exterior finishings on his office in the woods.
