I like to victim-blame, especially in geopolitics, where people act like they can behave like normal people, behave irresponsibly, act in their own interests, and don't have to abide by the hard reality of the situation, which is that no matter what some flimsy piece of paper in New York City says, no small country truly has autonomy. Autonomy comes from power. Gaza has no power, and when caught between NATO and Russia, Ukraine only has that which it can muster. You can talk all day about what's right or wrong, but ultimately it's up to our leaders to decide whether what they think is right or wrong is worth the cost. There are bad guys, and there are irresponsible guys. Some people didn't like what I had to say about Gaza. I wonder how those same people will feel about what Cameron has to say about Ukraine.
