大阪・関西万博のナショナルデーホール レイガーデンで行われたチェコ・プラハ放送交響楽団の室内奏者による演奏の様子です。
8月21日は、1968年に発生したワルシャワ条約機構によるチェコスロバキア侵攻の記念日で、ソ連軍への抵抗の象徴として重要な役割を果たしたプラハ放送局が追悼のコンサートを万博会場で開催してくれました。よく知られた曲をたくさん演奏してくれました。私の中ではもっとも美しい音色のコンサートの一つで、とても感動しました。
世界中が集まる万博では、なかなか生で見ることのない世界のパフォーマンスが見られたり、各国の料理があじわえるのも醍醐味ですね。もし見られてもこんなに目の前で見られる機会はなかなかないと思いました。

This is a performance by chamber musicians from the Czech Radio Symphony Orchestra of Prague at the National Day Hall Ray Garden at the Osaka-Kansai Expo.
August 21 marks the anniversary of the Warsaw Pact invasion of Czechoslovakia in 1968, and the Prague Radio Station, which played an important role as a symbol of resistance against the Soviet army, held a memorial concert at the Expo venue.
At the Expo, where people from all over the world gather, it's a real treat to see performances from around the globe that you don't often get to see live, and to sample cuisines from various countries. Even if you do get to see such performances, it's rare to have the opportunity to experience them up close like this.
