Constructed in 1927-29, all departures were canceled one day in September 1980 and trains haven’t returned ever since.
The “Siemensbahn” was built be german industrial giant Siemens to serve the area in wich they developed the so-called “Siemensstadt” in the former wilderness just outside Berlin’s gates.
A massive Areal more than 5km² consisting out of Machinery factories, administrative buildings and housing for thousands of workers.
Connecting all of theses palaces with 3 Stations to the rest of Berlin was the Siemensbahn, a Metro style service, the Berlin S-Bahn.

Currently there’s plans for the reactivation of the Line, in accordance with the redevelopment of the area as a whole by Siemens.
So you could take a ride yourself if you happen to be in Berlin in 2029.
