Day 11 of my Pune to Ladakh adventure—time to start the return journey! Leaving behind the breathtaking Pangong Lake, I take on the mighty Chang La Pass (17,688 ft), one of the highest motorable roads in the world. But my KTM Duke 200 struggles in the rarefied air, barely managing 25-30 kmph. Every throttle twist feels like a battle against altitude!
Reaching the top, Altitude Sickness hits me hard—deep breaths, a spinning head, and that eerie silence of the high Himalayas. It’s a reminder of how extreme Ladakh bike rides can be. But as I descend towards Kharu, the oxygen-rich air brings me back to life, and I push through to Leh, where I finally find a hotel to rest and recover.
This leg of the Ladakh motorcycle journey was a true test of endurance, riding skill, and resilience. Watch as I navigate treacherous roads, conquer high-altitude struggles, and soak in the surreal beauty of the Himalayas!
🚀 Watch till the end & comment: Have you ever faced AMS while traveling in the mountains? How did you deal with it?
