In fact we have black, jelly, white to fire opal in this world. Opal is one phenomenal gem which shows "play of color": the rainbow color along the gem body when light goes through the gemstone.
We call it "Harlequin" when opal display large distinct and all the play of color patches with edges touching each other.
"Flash" large areas of play of color in the opal
"Pinfire" means very small patches or dots of play of color in the gem
