Original jazz song dedicated to my grandma, with whom I had the closest relationship in the whole family. We shared a birthday, and in general, we saw this messed-up planet in a similar way. At 92, she could still easily outrun me in the crowded market, and when I was a kid, she took me everywhere a young ape is supposed to be dragged: the Zoo, the Amusement Park, the Pál-völgyi Cave, Margaret Island, and Hűvösvölgy, and the Fairy Rock, which I immediately climbed before she could call the firefighters. Between the two world wars, she partied in Paris, studied painting there, and had a leaky, dilapidated wooden house in Klotildliget, which we occasionally visited by train to watch how decay consumed it. She had a huge balcony on the 5th floor, full of worn flower boxes and ants, and squirrels often stole the seeds from her bird feeder. Of course, she cooked incredibly well, constantly worried that I would catch a cold, and bought me a tape recorder, a guitar, and countless grilled chickens. Whole ones, let the child grow! Well, I grew up. At the age of 98, she decided that this incarnation was fulfilled... nowadays I only dream of her occasionally – the last time she warned me that a sniper was going to shoot from a nearby rooftop. I wrote this little song for her, which might also help you recall some old, bearable memories.
