Chennai isn't everyone's first choice of places to arrive in India, but we are planning at least six months of exploring this awesome country, and have decided to start with South India. Here's our first 24hrs in which we get acquainted with a lot of awesome Chennai street food, and fight the jetlag.

Al, from New Zealand and Kel from Australia met through work in 2010 and have been together ever since. Always infected by the travel bug they finally decided to head off an a 12 month adventure and started with Vietnam and Laos before heading to Sri Lanka and then India! Their mission is to explore as many off the beaten track places as possible through a slow travel philosophy on a tight budget.
