I always like to try a new brand of welding rods, especially when they are cheap.
This time I am trying the RB26 (6013) general-purpose rods.
I'm no expert but I look for ease of starting, controlability of the weld pool and how easy the flux is to remove. I realise that a lot of these things are somewhat dependent on my welding technique but I think every welder will agree they prefer some rods over others.
