Atlantis | Germany's most successful Merchant Raider

It's the second World War and Nazi-Germany plans to disrupt allied shipping all around the globe in an efford to hinder resupplyruns by ship. The proven method was submarines and while they had had quite a lot of those, they figured it not enough. Thats why they requisitioned ordinary merchant-ships and turned them into disguised warships, so called "Handelsstörkreuzer" (Trade-Interrupt-Cruiser). One of those per-se Pirateships was the 'Atlantis' (former 'Goldenfels'); This video is about this very ship and why its voyage was so important.

This video was a gigantic topic that I had to shorten to not have a 3h long video. However, the sources and wikipedia articles should provide an more in-depth overview of the story of the 'Atlantis'.
