'Handmade In Hummus Land' is the second album release from the exciting series "Homemade In Rome"...This series started as a concept rooted in the musical traditions of the Mediterranean basin, continuing since the ancient times of the Roman Empire that left us with the best Amphitheaters around - monuments and structures that we still use in our modern times for major events of Fusion, Jazz, Rock and Pop, even after 2000 years!

In this series, Kamal Musallam explores the Arabic sounds through using the Arabic Maqams and the Quarter Tones within a rich Fusion context. All harmonies and beats are inspired from Jazz, rock, Latin and Indian music traditions, while Kamal plays the acoustic/ electric ouds & guitars, and a hybrid of both worlds that he designed with major brands (Ibanez & Godin). All played in his own re-invented lyrical language of instrumental music and his proposal of a personal phrasing style that makes all the difference, with a unique overall fresh musical outcome!
