Join us for the grand finale of our unforgettable Wai series! In this video, we take you on a beautiful and unexpected road trip from the scenic hills of Panchgani and Wai back to our home in Mumbai—but this isn’t your regular highway drive!

We were joined by my lovely wife, our amazing neighbours Aliva didi, Swayam bhai, and their ever-energetic son Guddu. What started as a routine return trip turned into a full-blown adventure with alternate routes, village detours, dam views, roadside snacks, a midnight rainstorm, and 7+ hours of bonding on the road!

📍 Trip Highlights & Timeline

🕕 Departure from Panchgani/Wai (Around 6:00 PM)

Our trip starts in the peaceful surroundings of Wai, wrapping up our memorable hill station getaway.
The main road was closed, so we chose an alternate internal route—a decision that led to discovering charming small villages, scenic farmlands, and the backside of Dhom Dam.

🛣️ Exploring Offbeat Roads of Wai

Took internal village roads you won’t find on Google Maps!
Peaceful countryside vibes, golden hour skies, and barely any traffic.
Surprising views of Dhom Dam from a new angle.
Took us nearly 1 hour just to exit Wai due to detours and photo/video breaks.

🍔 Roadside Breaks & Local Flavors

Captured every stop for snacks, chai, and dinner—you’ll see where we halted and what we ate.
Shared laughter, mini-stories, and fun roadside chats.

🌧️ Rainy Twist on Mumbai Pune Expressway (Around 1:00 AM)

As we merged onto the expressway, heavy rains hit us, turning the final leg of the drive into a monsoon challenge.
Faced traffic jams near Pune and multiple slowdowns due to waterlogged roads and diversions.

🕖 Arrival in Mumbai (After 7+ hours!)

Despite the delays, it was a fun-filled drive, full of laughter, songs, and shared experiences.
Reached Mumbai safely, carrying lots of beautiful memories from this trip.
