This game can be found at many places online. I'll just pick one to link to:

So, this is kind of like a hybrid between Super Mario Bros. and Tetris. The gameplay starts out like classic SMB, but shortly into the game, Mario encounters a wall too tall to jump over, so how do we get past that wall? By Playing Tetris, of course! Once Lakitu appears and informs you how to switch modes, you can switch over to Tetris mode and start placing Tetrominos made up of bricks and ? blocks. These can be used to form steps for Mario to climb on, or to clear lines. They can also squash goombas too, which is a nice touch, but be careful, as they can also squash Mario if you get careless!
So, the controls work like this:
At first, you're basically playing SMB. You can move left/right with the left/right keys (I guess that makes sense), and you can jump by pressing X. And, that's it, actually. You can't run or duck, and your jump height is fixed at four tiles, so you can't make smaller jumps by merely tapping X, which can be annoying at times. Once Lakitu shows up early on, you can switch between SMB mode and Tetris mode at any time by pressing space. In Tetris mode, left/right moves the falling piece left/right, down makes it fall faster, and pressing up or X rotates it clockwise. Also, in either mode, you can press Esc to pause, and C to speed up the autoscrolling.
More gameplay elements:
In SMB mode, aside from the classic block setup at the beginning, any ? blocks you hit will always contain a mushroom if you're small and there's not already a mushroom on the screen. Otherwise, they'll contain a coin. The brick blocks are usually your standard breakable-if-you're-super type, but random bricks from the tetrominos you drop may actually be multi-coin blocks instead, though you can only get five coins from one (mushrooms can also appear from multi-coin blocks if you're small and there isn't already a mushroom present). Goombas are your usual mooks (actually your only main enemy), and are taken out with a stomp like you'd expect.
In Tetris mode, if the falling tetromino touches a Goomba, it squashes it. If it touches Mario, he gets hurt, so be careful. Now, it is possible to create lines that vanish. See the vertical stripes in the background? Each of those stripes are 10 tiles wide, and if you make an unbroken horizontal line of blocks spanning the whole width of a stripe, it disappears, and the blocks above it drop accordingly, just like in your usual Tetris game.
You begin the game with 3 lives, and you lose a life if a Goomba or falling tetromino hits Mario while he's small, if Mario falls in a pit, if Mario gets pushed against the left edge of the screen by blocks due to the autoscroll, or if you run out of time at the castle-building segment at the end. Dying sends you back to a previous checkpoint (and reverts your scores to whatever they were there), and losing all your lives ends the game (duh).
After Mario reaches the flag at the end of the level, you'll have 120 seconds to construct the castle for him to enter by using tetrominos (which will contain only bricks here). However, you'll still want to take control of Mario occasionally to deal with the spawning Goombas. Note that the already-placed blocks used to build the castle aren't considered solid to Mario or the Goombas, and they can pass through them unimpeded. Now, you only have to fill in the outer edge of the castle with blocks to win, and any blocks outside of the outline will appear faded and won't get in other pieces' way. However, if you fill in the castle outline perfectly, without leaving any gaps or letting any bricks go outside the outline, you'll get a special bonus at the end. Note: Any tetromino that falls completely outside the outline will just shatter and won't ruin your chances for the perfect castle bonus, so you can just dump unwanted pieces on the side and not worry about them.
Scoring:
Squashing a Goomba: 100 (No stomping combo bonuses exist, sadly.)
Coin: 200
Mushroom: 1000
Breaking a brick: 5 (I wonder why it isn't 50?)
Placing Tetris pieces and clearing lines: Various (I'm not sure of the exact amounts.)
Reaching the flag: Up to 5000
Lives remaining after winning: 2500 each
Perfect castle bonus: 15000
Feel free to comment, but just know that I dislike profanity. Any comments containing F-bombs and/or S-bombs will be crushed by shapes made up of four brick blocks and/or ? blocks! (In other words, they'll be deleted.)
(Comments containing other types of inappropriate content may meet this fate as well.)
