The day before the horrific Moore EF5, the atmosphere produced a series of tornados in Oklahoma. An EF1 hit Edmond; an EF3 impacted communities near Luther, Fallis, Wellston, and Carney; and a EF4 moved from near Norman through Shawnee and into McLoud. Two people were killed by these destructive storms.
In addition to being notable, and now historic, on its own, this coverage reveals unease at the even greater potential destruction this environment could - and unfortunately did - unleash.
