If you have ever had the misfortune of laying your eyes on an 80s Toyota, you know how bad the carburetors and vacuum lines look. The 4ALC AE82 Corollas are no exception to this. The feedback carburetor systems on these cars work well when they work, but when they stop working, the car is undrivable and unenjoyable to work on to diagnose. Luckily, others have decided they would make life easier for AE82 Corolla drivers by offering their own aftermarket revised and improved versions of the original carburetor. We will be comparing a completely unmolested carburetor, a modification of the original carburetor, and one of the many aftermarket carburetors found on the internet, specifically the A Premium from Amazon, and look at their similarities, differences, and improvements.
