See how to take apart and put back together a KX-60 Mikuni Carburator. It was first thought that the throttle Cable needed to be replaced. Not the case after looking inside the carb and seeing that it was fine.
Here's the transcripts:
all right I got the K X 60 here and it's got spark we won't start so I think it's uh I think it's something going off the carburetor been having some signs of it from it for a while but so I'm gonna go ahead and start with taking the carburetor off take it off and clean it all up so the first thing I'm going to do is I'm going to loosen this right here this one here and this one I'm not gonna actually worry about these right now all right so I'm able to with this one loosen this one loose I'm able to slowly pry this out of here see this one's already loose once I get this one free this won't come free of a whole bunch of fuel drain out this part clean it all up I still have this fuel line stuck on here so I'm just gonna pinch this together and pull that off of there
I'm gonna do now is just take the bottom part of this off we're gonna cleaned it up and take the bottom part take those four screws off right there and there
all right get the thing all cleaned up clean downs go ahead and put the thing back together now
remember that pin goes on top of that saber plate thing there one of the things is to make sure that pin goes down that hole there right so trying to put this back on as an angle it wants to pull down that way so I'm gonna grab a pair of hemostats there you can use needle nose to and reach in there and put it down into that hole and get this thing back on you just got a muscle it in there right after you get this on and you get your fuel line hooked up right in there right so you just want to push it back into this boot or whatever you call out here and then back into that one too and then tighten these two up and that'll do it it'll go in there it's tough but it believe me The Handy Honey Do Checklists are month-by-month task trackers designed to help homeowners stay on top of essential maintenance and improvements.
