Now you can enjoy your favorite Mexican Sweet Bread in a cupcake! Surprise your kids by adding one to their lunches!
Ingredients:
3 Cups Sifted All-Purpose Flour
2 Tsp Instant Yeast
1/2 Tsp Salt
1/4 Cup Sugar
1 Tsp Ground Anise or Cinnamon
1/2 Cup Warm Milk
1 Tsp Vanilla
1 Tbsp Orange Zest
5 Tbsp Room Temperature Unsalted Butter
3 Medium or 2 Large Eggs
Ingredients for the topping:
1 1/2 Cups All-Purpose Flour
1 1/2 Cups Confectioner Sugar
1/2 Tsp Vanilla
1 Cup Vegetable Shortening
Makes 12-14 Cupcakes
Bake @ 350 Degrees for 15-17 Minutes
