The Osburg-Thalfang project – A new underground cable system will transport renewable wind power from turbines at Hunsrück, Germany to the region's urban centres. PFISTERER delivers the complete 110 kV turnkey cable system with a transmission length of around 18 kilometers.
The challenge was to design the cable system in this densely forested landscape with significant variations in altitude in accordance with the electrical requirements and the geographical circumstances. We use different sized cables and a combination of different cable accessories to achieve the required transmission performance.
