When hunting in Kansas, specifically in September, please watch this video first! We unexpectedly ran into ticks, chiggers, super thick vegetation along the edges which were practically too thick to shoot through. One surprising thing that did happen was, we did not feel pressured to find a place to hunt due to the lack of hunters. This could’ve been because of the 100+ degree temperature, but however the public land areas we were hunting were void of hunters which worked out great for us! I can’t say if it is always this way, but it appeared to me that it is because even the locals where surprised to see people out hunting.
