The historic 19th century schoolhouse is showcased along with city hall with its prominent totem and the boutiques and restaurants lining downtown East Washington Street. Sequim is located along the Dungeness River near the base of the Olympic Mountains. The diminutive town of barely 7,000 is considered the Lavender Capital of North America.
