ROAMER : Ep 2 - LYKKELIG

Lofoten - the magical Viking picturesque territory of the Lofoten in full winter glory. It’s been my dream to get there early in the season when teh conditions are still pretty wild in these wind battered territories. 4 days of traveling to get to the peninsula on snow covered roads, before a rough ferry crossing to get to that piece of heaven.

The Lofoten offers exactly what I am looking for - majestic lines overlooking the ocean and being alone out there to just connect with the nature. Early in the season patience is required as the storms are not far apart and when the weather hits - it hits hard. But playing with the weather is the essence of adventure.
After a few days - we spotted a dream wave from the road - randomly off the North Coast, we parked up to go and surf it… but the irony of it… I slipped on the parking lot, landed on my surf board and broke 3 ribs in my chest and 2 in my back. I was forced to retreat home for a month of convalescence.
A short but intense adventure and now patience to wait for the comeback with fixed ribs.
